The Wilson Stainless Micro Trimmer utilizes the most accurate trimmer in the world in its new stainless steel configuration, an exclusive Sinclair International product. The compact micrometer unit is incorporated into the stop bearing which allows the user to easily make quick trim adjustments in .001" increments. The Wilson Stainless Micro trimmer uses a case holder that holds the case by the body taper and utilizes no pilots during the case trimming operation. Trimmer case holder, cutter housing, and adjustment stop sit in perfect alignment with each other. This guarantees an identical trim length for each case. When trimming cases shorter than 1.3” such as pistol cases, the use of a spacer (part number WX11) is necessary. The Wilson Stainless Micro Trimmer sets on top of our Sinclair Mounting Stand with Shark Fin Clamp. The Shark Fin enables the user to quickly trim and exchange cases in the case holder. All of our Wilson trimmer accessories work with the New Wilson Stainless Micro Trimmer. Visit our website, catalog, or call our reloading technicians to order trimmer case holders and other accessories. * Trimmer Case Holders and accessories sold separately.

Good Product(2.7.2010)
I recently bought this case trimmer and have used it on .357, .44 mag. & 460 S&W mag. It is expensive and slower than the RCBS or Lyman trimmers that I am used to. However, it does what it says. It produces a consistent trim case that is absolutely square. I use the Q-type case holders and the carbide cutter. It took me a while to get into a rhythm, but once I did things went along smoothly. Again, if you're looking for speed, this will not get you there, but if you're looking for precision this is the one.
Accurate and Slow(13.9.2010)
If you want to trim lots of cases fast, don't buy this expensive trimmer. If you want to very accurately trim cases to help yield the most accurate ammo possible, invest in this beauty. Crafted out of stainless steel, it is meant to last a lifetime or two. The included stand is very sturdy and puts the cutter at just the right height above the bench surface. The only improvement in construction I'd make is to enlarge the two mounting holes out to 1/4" so that it would be easier to secure the unit to the bench with two 1/4" lag bolts. However, a drill press makes quick work of that issue.Using the unit is straight forward and easy. Insert the brass into the case holder, tap it lightly into place (some pistol calibers use a wedge through the holder to secure the case), put the case holder onto the cutter rail, slip the shark fin holder in place and trim. Initial set up is made vastly easier than most cutters by the use of the micrometer adjustment, which makes it very easy to shave another thousand off of the case. Once set, the unit is very repeatable. So far, I've only done .357 Magnums on this, but the results are impressively repeatable and I expect to find this to be the case in other calibers. One thing I learned "the hard way" was that some rifle calibers require a different holder for fired vs new/re-sized brass in order for the case to seat securely. I didn't know this when I ordered and I got a 30-30 case holder for fired (or neck sized only) brass. This meant that my re-sized case just spun around in the holder. Not a huge problem. I just called Wilson and they will swap it out for the right one with no freight charge for the replacement. Good customer service. This beauty is expensive but well worth it. As is the case with the other Wilson tools/gauges I own, this is a high quality product. You get what you pay for.
Best trimmer on the market.(22.9.2010)
I have tried other trimmers but this one is by far the best quality trimmer on the market. I have the 50 bmg and the standard 3 inch or less trimmer both are made with outstanding craftsmanship. Makes the task of trimming a lot less of a hassle. Cannot say anything negative about this wilson product or any other Wilson products I own.
Don't get no better(18.11.2010)
I've been loading for the past 15 years, been through a few different trimmers, I was looking for something manual again. I don't shoot in volume anymore so the speed of the process is not an issue,I looked at the reviews decided to give this one a spin.
Wish I would have done it 15 years ago, it cuts more square then anything I have ever used. In fact if it were not for the imperfection of the case heads I doubt you could cut it any more square and in about 3 or 4 turns if your only out a few thousands.
Some I here are reversing it and squaring the heads a smudge. Anyway you can take the directions out of the box when it arrives and throw them away, no need in wasting your time. Just look at the photo on this page and you can figure it out.
I bought the one with the shark fin and the directions for it actually should be the directions for the trimmer. I over trimmed three shells by one or a half a thousand before I got it set right. Thinking about buying one for the rest of my calibers and set them for life.
I'm trimming the 300 RUM with this one and the blade cuts the brass like hot butter.
A small wonder(27.3.2011)
What a great tool , simple to set up and use stays set and does the job quickly and accuratly
The Top of Line(5.6.2012)
The case is very true after trimming( checked with dial indictor). I have a Hornady,Lyman, RCBS and the only one that is kinda of close is Hornady. This Wilson Trimmer is the best, next to chucking in a mini lathe.
Best Trimmer for Rifle. Worst for Pistol(4.3.2014)
This is certainly the best manual trimmer you can buy for bottleneck rifle trimming. Unfortunately, it's the worst trimmer you can buy for straightwall pistol trimming due to the design of the pistol case holders. So make sure you know what you plan to trim...if you want to trim alot of pistol brass, I'd suggest looking elsewhere or buying a second trimmer.
Sinclair-Wilson Case Trimmer(2.10.2015)
Terrific trimmer, easy to set up and adjust. Better case trimmer than the Hornady I've used for yrs that produced inaccurate cuts. The micrimeter adjustment on this tool is accurate and easily adjusted.
Wilson forgot to include the allen wrench(s), but I had them already. The cutter head is machined perfectly to the handle and barrel. This is the one to buy, just wished I had done it years ago.
good bit of kit(5.7.2017)
I am an absolute picky person and spend a lot of time testing at long range and reloading. i've never bothered to write a review but this is deserving of a mention. Great bit of engineering, simple to adjust and fast to work with, fast to clean and oil/maintain. I only have a few Wilson items but will be looking into more it there items are at this quality. Highly recommend it, i have only used it with resisted neck turned 308win lapua brass, the 6mmbr will be to try.
