The PRS GEN3 is a field precision stock for AR15/M16 and AR10/SR25 platforms, featuring tool-less length of pull and cheek piece height adjustment. Adjustable for length of pull and cheek piece height via aluminum detent knobs, the PRS GEN3 (Precision Rifle/Sniper) stock is intended for semi automatic sniper or varmint type rifles. It installs on rifle-length receiver extensions as well as mil-spec and A5 length carbine receiver extensions and includes a cant/height-adjustable rubber butt-pad and rotation-limiting QD sling cups as well as M-LOK slots on the bottom for rear monopod mounting. Mounts to rifle-length receiver extension tube without A2 spacer, but will accommodate mil-spec sized M4 Carbine and many A5-length tubes with standard Castle Nuts and End Plates (not included) Enhanced strength butt-plate withstands severe impact and recoil up to .50 BMG Rubber butt-pad provides positive should purchase to prevent slippage and is adjustable for both cant and height Machined aluminum LOP and Cheek Piece adjustment knobs with positive locking click detents Steel adjustment shafts finished with melonite for wear and corrosion resistance All aluminum components finished with MIL-A-862F, Type III, Class 2 hard coat anodizing Bottom M-LOK slots provide additional sling mounting possibilities for attaching 1913 picatinny railes for use with a monopod Sling Mounts: Front & Rear rotoation-limited QD sling swivel mounts. Rear mount 1.25" aluminum sling loop (left side reversible) NOTE: Due to the wide variety of designs and dimensions of carbine receiver extensions as well as the associated mounting hardware, proper fit cannot be guaranteed. Mounting to rifle-length receiver extension is recommended to ensure optimal fit and funtion.

Simply The Best 9.9.2018

My second Magpul PRS, this one for a Ruger Precision Rifle. Very simple installation with the carbine buffer tube, very well made, positive adjustments that stay put when using the rifle in the field, clean lines that donât snag on stuff like the factory stock, much better shape when using a rear bag. This is the stock Ruger might consider for the next generation of the Precision rifle.

Worth the wait! 14.8.2018

Purchased this stock to complete a 24â heavy barreled AR-15. It is very solidly built with precise adjustments, well engineered and easy to install. Makes a tremendous difference in how the rifle handles and shoots, The stock is better than I anticipated and Iâll need to purchase another one for my Ruger Precision Rifle. A note about Brownells service; I ordered this stock several months ago on sale and with a free shipping offer. It along with another part were both backordered. Brownells honored the prices and shipped each piece as it arrive in stock free. Brownells service is the best in the industry,

I originally purchased this stock more because it seemed like the thing to have on a rifle intended for intermediate range precision shooting than for an obvious need. As it turned out, though, itâs not just a pretty face. 1. Itâs very solid and a nice change back to a traditional rifle feel as compared with more common sliding stocks. 2. The ability to attach a Picatinny rail section to the bottom is a convenience in mounting a monopod, but unlike the earlier generation PRS, the rail isnât there if itâs not needed. 3. Both length of pull and cheek rest are adjusted with sturdy knobs. I have not yet tried the cant feature and the length of pull is more quickly adjusted with a conventional sliding stock, but the PRS LOP is adjustable in much finer increments. 4. What I really like is the adjustable cheek rest. Iâm accustomed to mounting optics on my AR-type rifles and making do by changing the position of my head to achieve a proper sight picture. Prior to changing the PRS cheek rest position, my eye was almost in line with the center of the scope Iâm using, but not quite. Not much adjustment of the PRS rest was necessary, but it made a significant difference. Now when I get on the rifle, and especially when I mount it quickly, itâs aligned just right. Not only does that help ensure a good sight picture, it helps eliminate parallax problems at close distances.
