The fitted kit is easy to install for any competent mechanic...the video instruction help, as does a dose of patients when sanding down the overtravel stop. I taped the triggerguard per instructions, used 100 grit for the initial fitting, then worked up to 150 and 300 as it got closer, observing the sear from the back of the slide after every 20 strokes. The reset and pull area halved, just as advertised. One wonât mistake it for a custom 1911, but the end product makes an already great gun significantly easier to shoot, especially with follow through. Again, weâll worth the time, effort, and money.

The components installed in the gun were simple and even have video instructions to help you.
-The trigger portion on the other hand was a little more intensive. It took more time than I would like to admit, between disassembling sanding and reassembling. (Started with fine grit sandpaper) lets say I did not get anywhere fast. I grabbed a metal file and shaved, assembled/disassembled reshaved over and over and over until the stryker would fall only after pressing as hard as I could. From there I did one minimal file, and hit the fine grit sand paper. The trigger PERFECTLY fires as it touches the back of the trigger well.
Hands down the best most smooth trigger pull I have felt. The overstop makes it very nice preventing the trigger movement after the trigger has dropped the stryker. The time spent on the mod was DEFINITELY WORTH IT!!!

I use my XDm 5.25 9mm for target practice and a XDm 4.5 45 ACP for carry. Both have a PRP trigger.
The trigger, sear, and disconnect are very easy to install. PRP has a three punch set with palm balls that are designed for these pistols. I now use these to work on all parts install and firearm repair.
Fitting the trigger over travel stop requires patience and a safe sided flat file helps.
This trigger replacement gets complements from everyone who shoots one of my pistols. They usually say it's as crisp as a 1911.

Running this in a XDM 5.25 9mm for IDPA along with the PRP Titanium Striker and Titanium Saftey block.
This is a night and day upgrade over the stock trigger and is butter smooth.
Smoother than the PRP drop in version, but is not nessicary worth the extra money unless you want the best.
