Converts Sporting Pump Shotgun Into A Slug Gun

Smoothbore 18-1/2" barrels quickly convert a Remington 870 or Benelli Nova/SuperNova into a fast-handling slug gun or home defense shotgun. Features chrome-lined bore and Carlson cylinder-bore choke tube installed. Remington 870 barrels are threaded for standard Rem Choke and have 3" chambers. Does not fit 870 Tactical models. #155-000-252 has fixed Cylinder choke. #155-000-253 has rifled bore. Benelli barrels have 3-1/2" chambers and are threaded for Benelli Mobil choke. Both are available with a choice of ramped blade front sight only or adjustable front/rear rifle sights.

SPECS: 4140 steel, bead-blasted, matte black finish. Chrome-lined bore. 18½ (47cm) long. 3 lbs (1.3kg) wt.

Windage screw would not hold the rear sight in place. I removed it, and found that the threads on the sight (not the screw itself) were stripped. So, my woods gun is a no-go just 2 days before opening.

Minor Ramp Job required (4.12.2012)

Barrel fit is tighter in reciver than the OEM barrel but there is no ramp for shells to enter without jamming so one has to "free lance" their own ramp otherwise a jam results. Other than that issue I would express it appears to be well made product comnplete with Carlson well made SS chokes!

Great Deal! (27.11.2013)

This is the only barrel I could find for my Wingmaster in 18 1/2" with screw in chokes and bead sight. I primarily hunt in swamps and needed a short quick handling barrel. I was apprehensive purchasing a barrel made in Turkey but the machining is equal to that of my 1960's factory barrel. The matte finish matches the polished blue of my shotgun reasonably well, more so than an Express barrel. Fits perfectly and cycles 2 3/4" shells no problem. I have not used 3" shells. The bore is very well finished. Removed the choke and blasted out whatever grit was in the threads and it's good to go.
