Our RMR Slide for Glock® 17 Gen4 pistols features distinctive, wraparound front cocking serrations that aid in manipulating the slide to check the chamber or clear a jam. Let's be honest: the serrations also look cool! These slides have a built-in mount for the popular Trijicon RMR red dot sight and certain Holosun sights (see list below), enabling shooters to get on-target faster and more easily than they can with standard pistol sights. All RMR Slides also have Glock® factory front and rear sight dovetails for backup iron sights. To get proper co-witnessing with the RMR, you will need to also install suppressor-height iron sights. You can get your RMR Slide for Glock® 17 Gen4 with a "window" cutout on top between the front serrations (so no wraparound serrations on this one) that enhances airflow to keep the barrel cooler - ideal for hard-working action competition pistols. Plus, if you have an upgraded barrel with a contrasting finish or a unique exterior pattern (fluting, spirals, "flames," etc.), the window helps your gun stand out from the sea of matte black on the firing line! Each RMR Slide for Glock® 17 Gen4 pistols starts life as a billet of 17-4 stainless steel that is machined to Glock® factory specifications inside, so it’ll fit factory frames and accept factory or aftermarket barrels and Gen4 internal parts. Each slide is heat-treated to Rockwell "C" 41-44 for enhanced surface hardness and excellent resistance to galling and wear. A tough, non-reflective, Black Nitride finish resists surface scuffs and scratches.
