Brownells new AR-15 Armorer's Wrench works with either encapsulated or peg-style barrel nuts. The long handle ends with a carbine buttstock wrench that features four teeth that ensure full engagement of all four notches in an M4-style receiver extension nut for easy removal and installation. Also includes a 1/2" square drive opening for torque wrench application, 5/8" and 3/4" slots to fit receiver A2 receiver extensions and flash suppressors.

Best Multi Use Armorer's Wrench Ever!(13.10.2015)
I have owned and or used several Multi Use Armorer's Wrench's over the years, this is not the cheapest you can buy but it is the best and worth the money. This thing is built like a tank and will not slip, even when installing barrel nuts with the Delta Ring Assy. All machining is crisp and precise.
Great Brownell's Wrench(12.4.2016)
Another great product for the AR-15 crowd offered by Brownells. this rugged well balanced and nicely finished wrench will provide results in the numerous AR-15 tasks required for both novice and journeyman smittys alike. The castle wrench easily allows a snug fit to the most recalcitrant/red glued lock rings found. The barrel nut end gives the choice of 2 sides to work with. The raised tooth side can both engage & hold the barrel nut secure when higher torque is needed. Even at 90 ft/lbs I never had a slip off/knuckle debrider occur from the wrench itself. 5 stars are narrowly and the "hard to use" con are listed only because the 1/2' drive cut is unfortunately located just a little too close to the wrench teeth thus prohibiting a good working fit with my ratchet style torque wrench. I did manage to skin my knuckles at 60 ft/lbs when the extension I rigged between the torque wrench and the tool slipped causing howls of pain. I think if the 1/2" drive slot was moved say, 5/8' toward the opposite end, one could easily attach a stout 1/2" drive torque wrench to do the job. Other than that, it is a joy to use.
Quality Wrench(20.7.2016)
This wrench is heavy and solid. The only problem I had with it was trying to remove the buffer tube nut on a AR pistol with brace. The way the tool was made it will not fit over or around. I had to cut off the fourth notch to make the wrench work.
Quality is lacking(16.9.2016)
In its first use, while using in addition to a torque wrench installing a barrel the prongs broke off around 20 ft/pounds of force. Slightly warped so tightening the castle nut was difficult with only two prongs.
Needs to be re-designed(29.1.2017)
Well built wrench but.....You can not remove castle nuts from factory AR pistols(Radical firearms for example) with this tool because of the "fourth notch" making it impossible to slide the wrench over AR factory buffer tubes, which are a larger diameter.(law requires them to be a few millimeters larger diameter so regular Mil-spec or commercial butt stocks can not be slid over them...only arm braces) I had to cut off the "fourth" notch at the bottom(all the way to the handle) to make the wrench more universal. Three points of contact of the wrench to the castle nut is acceptable. Another problem with this wrench is the coating on the wrench is way to thick. I bead blasted it off and spray painted it with enamel paint. Works great now.
Solid tool(5.2.2017)
I liked the tool when I was searching to a Armorer's wrench and picked this when I seen it was on sale. I'm happy with all but one thing, when attaching my 1/2" ratchet style torque wrench to torque the barrel nut (standard type) I found the 1/2" attachment point to close to the pins (used for Free floating barrel nuts) that blocked my torque wrench from attaching. I had to use a short extender between the wrenches, it will fit fine when using the Free Floating pins. This needs to be moved a little add clearance in future models. Other than that the wrench looks and feels solid and no one has a warranty like Brownell.
Not for AR Pistol Buffer Tubes(21.2.2017)
Copied this from another review, but I ran into the exact same problem (my fault for not researching better before I bought it). Unfortunately, I don't have the tools to modify the wrench. It is also a bit tight on standard rifle buffer tubes.

Excellent armorer tool !(27.4.2018)
This tool is a godsend. I have had horrible issues with other name brand armorer wrenches and this is by far the best one I have used. Its feels very durable, the teeth to tighten the castle nut are amazing and they fit into all the notches. The teeth are thicker and longer than other wrenches. The wrench also extends onto the castle nut a little also to help prevent against slippage. Other tools I have had, had a tendency to slip on the castle nut causing damage to the nut and to a few of my buffer tubes in which I was very upset. Brownells gets an A+++. They hit it right on this one. For once I haven't wrecked a castle nut or buffer tube. You get what you pay for and this is worth every penny. A must have! Thank you guys! Keep up the good work..
Disappointed(11.5.2018)
Wrench metal is too wide to remove AR15 flash hider. Does not grab the flats due to the rounded parts of the flash hider hanging up on the wrench.
