It's about time!! (9.2.2014)

Just got two of these bad boys in... I'm a loyal fan of PMAGS for my AR15, and I love them! I have two MAK90s and have the original metal 30 rd magazines that came with them. I've been buying TAPCOs 30 rd magazines as well. You have to really "slap" the TAPCO mags in, but after that they function well... Same with these. A little easier to get in than the TAPCOs... no issues as of yet. Quality is there of course. I'm going to order some more. If Magpul was smart they would make 40 rds ones as well... Maybe when the 'steel' ones come out they'll be much easier. Considering all of the different AK47s out there, this is quite a feat to make these mags fit every single one, but so far, it works well in my MAK90s.

Problem with side stacking (25.2.2014)

AK Mag is a perfect functional fit with my SIG556R, however, loading the mag with any more than 25 rounds (in this case Tulammo 7.62x39 mm 122 gr FMJ steel case) will cause the case to expand and allow 2 rounds near the bottom of the stack to shift in plane to each other and jam the feeding of all the rounds.
As much as I like the Mag from every other perspective, for all practical purposes this Mag unusable in its current design.

My favorite polymer mag for my AK followed closely by the Tapco slab side magazines.
They add traction on the front of the magazine so you can hold the magazine for more stability, the dot matrix allows you to use paint or a soldering iron to mark your mags easily, They feed smoothly and I had no issues with them on my Zastava Pap M92 pistol.

durn good but not quite great. (13.6.2014)

Just recieved three of these, they fit and function in three different AKs, ran them hard and worked flawlessly. Love the fit and feel of them. VERY Nervous about the locking lug. This part takes a lot of abuse I feel it is the weakest part of the mag. I will use it for the range but keep my steel ones for serious use.

great mags (20.6.2016)

The new magpul mags work well and do what they are supposed to. They are not metal lined but do handle a huge amount of punishment. More punishment than a mag should. These mags do not have metal reinforcements but then neither do the AR15 pmags and they are the gold standard and have been taking a beating for years. These will stand up to harsh environments and harsh training. Everything has its breaking point and it's designed intended use. For the money they are much better than a majority of aftermarket AK47 mags.
