This action is a flawless work of art. When I opened the box I almost felt bad sending it in to be barreled. Every surface is beautifully polished with high tolerance dimensions. My finished rifle is a coated super high-end M40-style tactical .308 that shoots < 0.25". For this type of rifle, I couldn't imagine a better, smoother-running action than this one!

I have two defiance Deviant actions from Brownells, one short and one magnum. They are excellent.
I built a 22" 6.5x47 Lapua on the short action and it shoots 1/4 moa. The action is tight and well made. You don't appreciate it until you spend a few hours behind it and then pick up a factory 700.
